Our tour opens at the Jaffa Gate – the connection point between the old and the new, and one of the strategic points in the city of Jerusalem. We will look at the powerful Turkish wall and the different cultures and religions we see today in the Old City. We will enter the city, and from there ascend to the Tower of David Museum.

After visiting the Tower of David Museum, we will go to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We will visit the various chapels and see the currents that are present today in the church: Ethiopians, Copts, Franciscans, Armenians, Greek Orthodox. We will see the Via Dolorosa stations and meet the term “status quo” in the context of the church.

From the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, we will walk through Chain Street to the Western Wall and visit a place that is still considered a relic of the Temple, and over the years it has become a center of Jewish prayer and longing. Here, too, we will see different currents within the Jewish world, and we will complete the visit at the mixed Western Wall plaza, which is open to the public starting in 2017.

After visiting the Western Wall, we ascend the Mughrabi Bridge towards the Temple Mount. It is possible to enter the Temple Mount at set times, so we will have to keep to the times. At the entrance to the Temple Mount we will check our attire – a skirt or long pants, a shirt with sleeves and no neckline. During the visit to the Temple Mount we will see the main structures on the mountain: the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, and we will talk about the Jewish and Muslim importance of the Temple Mount, and its topicality – what is happening there today.

Our tour will end on Mount Zion, visiting a place sacred to the three religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. We will visit the two floors of the tomb structure: the Tomb of David and the Last Supper Room, and we will talk about the connection and the differences between the three religions.
