Tour Highlights

Hotel Pick-Up

Begin your day with a convenient pick-up from your hotel. Settle into a comfortable vehicle as we embark on a private journey through the dramatic landscapes of the Judean Desert, traveling north toward the Sea of Galilee. Transportation can be arranged either by me or by the client, depending on your preference.

Sea of Galilee Sites

Our first destination is the breathtaking Sea of Galilee, a central setting in the ministry of Jesus. Along the shoreline we visit several important sites, including Mount Tabor and the Church of the Transfiguration, Tabgha where the miracle of the Loaves and Fishes is remembered, and Magdala, associated with Mary Magdalene and home to remarkable archaeological discoveries including an ancient synagogue and a unique menorah engraving. We also visit the Church of the Twelve Apostles, a beautiful Greek Orthodox church decorated with vibrant icons and murals.

Capernaum

We continue to Capernaum, the town where Jesus lived and performed many of his miracles. Here we explore the remains of the impressive ancient synagogue and the site traditionally identified as the house of the Apostle Peter. The visit offers a deeper understanding of daily life in this important center of early Christian tradition.

Drive to Nazareth

From the Sea of Galilee we travel through the rolling hills of the Galilee toward the historic city of Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood. Along the way we discuss the cultural and historical landscape of the region and its significance in the New Testament.

Local Lunch in Nazareth

Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant in Nazareth, tasting traditional dishes from the Galilee. This break offers time to experience the flavors of the region and reflect on the morning’s journey through the biblical landscapes.

A Tour of Nazareth

After lunch we explore the historic heart of Nazareth. Our visit includes Mary’s Spring, associated with the story of the Annunciation, the impressive Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, and the Synagogue Church, traditionally connected with Jesus’ early teachings. We also visit the magnificent Basilica of the Annunciation, designed by Italian architect Giovanni Muzio, where layers of history stretch back to the Byzantine period.

Nazareth Market

We stroll through the lively Nazareth Market, filled with colorful stalls, traditional foods, and the vibrant atmosphere of everyday local life. Here you can taste regional specialties such as falafel and shawarma, and browse small shops offering handmade crafts, clothing, and souvenirs.

Return to Hotel

At the end of the day we begin our scenic drive back through the landscapes of the Galilee and the Jordan Valley, returning to your hotel in Jerusalem. The tour concludes with drop-off at your accommodation after a day combining history, faith, and the rich culture of northern Israel.
