The northern Golan Heights, rising to a height of over 900 meters, is one of the highest inhabited areas in our country. The cool air combined with the basalt soil form a wonderful agricultural soil, and the multiplicity of springs in the area allows for the growth of deciduous trees: apples, peaches.

In the northern Golan Heights we can dip in cool and wonderful basalt springs, climb for spectacular views, and of course – pick fresh apples.

Join me on a tour of the northern Golan Heights, and together we will tailor the unique experience for you.

Please note: This tour is suitable for travelers staying in northern Israel and is offered as a private tour only.

Tour Highlights

Hotel Pick-Up

Begin your day with a convenient pick-up from your hotel. Settle into a comfortable vehicle as we begin our private journey toward the Golan Heights, traveling through the landscapes of northern Israel and introducing the history and geography of the region along the way.

Bental Viewpoint

Our first stop is Mount Bental, offering breathtaking panoramic views across the Golan Heights and into neighboring Syria. From this strategic vantage point we discuss the volcanic landscape of the region and the role the Golan Heights played in Israel’s modern history, particularly during the Yom Kippur War.

Jeep or Razor Experience

Next we set out on an exhilarating off-road adventure across the rugged terrain of the Golan Heights. Visitors can choose between jeeps or Razors (all-terrain vehicles) for this experience. The ride takes us through remote areas, volcanic fields, and scenic landscapes that are inaccessible by regular vehicles, offering a unique perspective on the region’s natural beauty.

Lunch in a Kibbutz

After the off-road adventure we stop for lunch at a local kibbutz. Here you can enjoy a relaxing meal prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients while learning about the unique history of the kibbutz movement and its role in developing the communities of the Golan Heights.

De Karina Chocolate Factory

We continue to the De Karina Chocolate Factory in Ein Zivan. During the visit we discover the chocolate-making process and the story of this family-run business, which combines traditional techniques with creative flavors. Of course, the visit also includes tasting some of their delicious handmade chocolates.

Ein Keshatot (Umm el-Kanatir)

After the chocolate factory we visit Ein Keshatot, an impressive archaeological site where an ancient Jewish village and synagogue from the Talmudic period have been carefully reconstructed. The site is famous for the remarkable restoration of its synagogue, whose massive stone arches gave the place its Arabic name, Umm el-Kanatir — “Mother of Arches.” The visit offers a fascinating glimpse into Jewish life in the Golan Heights nearly 1,500 years ago.

Flexible Options for the Day

This itinerary can be customized according to your interests. Depending on time and preference, the day can include stops at natural springs, additional hikes, viewpoints, or other sites across the Golan Heights.
