There is no doubt that one of the hottest and most dynamic forms of expression today is street art. If in the past the meaning of art was to dress nicely, buy a ticket, and enter a museum, in recent decades culture has created an underground form of art — free, accessible, and in direct dialogue with the everyday life of the city. This tour delves into the colorful and often underground world of street art, offering an up-close look at the works that decorate the urban landscape of Tel Aviv, one of the top ten cities globally recognized for its thriving graffiti scene.

During the tour, we’ll wander through the bustling streets of Florentin and possibly Nahalat Binyamin, exploring an array of street exhibitions that vary from one visit to the next. You’ll get to know the signature styles and themes of the main artists who are making a mark on Tel Aviv’s street art scene. Since the events of October 7th, the neighborhoods have seen an influx of war-related graffiti. This new layer of street art provides a unique window into the local sentiments, showcasing through vibrant murals and poignant messages how the community processes and expresses the complexities of current events.

The tour can also be paired with a culinary adventure through the Carmel Market or a cultural walk in Neve Tzedek, enhancing your experience with tastes or historical insights of Tel Aviv. Join us to see how art and expression paint the pulse of the city, offering a fresh perspective on the world through the eyes of its artists.

Tour Highlights

The Old Train Station Park

We begin our tour at the Old Train Station Park, a historic site that once connected Jaffa and Jerusalem by rail. Today, the area has been transformed into a lively cultural space filled with cafés, galleries, and creative venues. Here we introduce the story of Tel Aviv’s street art scene and how neighborhoods like Florentin became a natural home for artistic expression and urban culture.

Florentin – Tel Aviv’s Graffiti District

We continue into the streets of Florentin, the neighborhood most closely associated with Tel Aviv’s graffiti culture. Walking through constantly changing streets, we encounter works by some of the most recognized Israeli street artists. Among the murals we will see pieces connected to the famous “Club 27” wall, portraits and tributes to cultural icons, and powerful artworks responding to recent events, including graffiti created during the war. Because graffiti is temporary, the walls of Florentin are always evolving—what we see today may look completely different in a few weeks.

A Unique Street Art Gallery

Along the way we visit a local art gallery connected to the street art community. This stop offers a different perspective on graffiti, showing how artists move between the street and the gallery world. Through prints, canvases, and installations we explore how graffiti artists develop their style and how the movement has influenced contemporary Israeli art.

Understanding Graffiti Culture

Throughout the tour we dive into the world of graffiti and street art. We explore questions such as: How did Florentin become the city’s graffiti hub? Who are some of the most influential artists in the Tel Aviv street art scene? What are the unwritten rules of graffiti, and how do artists respect—or break—them? We will also learn to recognize different types of graffiti found on the streets of Tel Aviv, from tags and throw-ups to large-scale murals and political street art.

The Ever-Changing Urban Canvas

As we move through the neighborhood, we discover how the streets of Florentin function as an open-air gallery. New works appear overnight, older pieces are painted over, and the walls constantly reflect the changing mood of the city. This makes every graffiti tour unique, offering a snapshot of Tel Aviv’s creative energy, its social conversations, and the voices of artists who use the city itself as their canvas.
